My experience, is that applying for jobs in Houston while you are living in Oregon or somewhere else on the West Coast, is not going to be very productive. YOu might get lucky, but most companies/firms seem to throw out resumes that are not local, unless that person is a superstar. So...if you can get a transfer, great, and once you are working/living in Houston, your husband probably will have a much greater chance of getting interviews and a job offer. Good luck!
