Sounds like that person wants an in-house position, but beware. If you thrive in busy, chaotic offices, are you SURE you want the slower pace? It's been our experience that folks that make drastic changes in work pace have a really hard time in the transition. For what it is worth, you might consider taking a temp position that is at the pace you think you want to see if it is a match for you.
