Good to hear. The article doesn't exactly paint the picture of a booming legal industry in southeast Michigan, but is very welcome news, all things considered.
Keep in mind, however, the economy didn't begin to REALLY tank until the end of Q3 2008. That means 2008 included almost 3 quarters of a relatively sound economic climate. It will be interesting to see how these firms' numbers look in 2009 compared to 2008.
