ItÂs definitely one of the best USA offices, and its reputation has enhanced further under the leadership of Patrick J. Fitzgerald. I can offer nothing of insight in hiring terms other than this true story. A partner at Kirkland Ellis applied for an AUSA job there, and the office did not hire him; ostensible, because he did not have a federal clerkship. Now, this was prior to FitzgeraldÂs appointment. Having never clerkship himself, Patty might feel different about clerkship experience than his predecessor. ItÂs just something to consider.
