Re: Chicago population patentdough March 07, 2011 07:03 pm
a good amount of it is. Englewood and North Lawndale are emptying out, and crime has continually moved towards and into the suburbs. The area that Robert Taylor homes and extensions used to be in (CPD 2nd district) is virtually crime free, and there is a Starbucks now at 35th and State. True.

The best gift Chicago could get from anybody would be funds to tear down any and all abandoned buildings in sight. Someday the emptied ghetto neighborhoods might be worth something again. Sorry for the edgy tone to anyone reading this.
