Thank you very much for this info. That's a good point about Canadian attys. wanting to get U.S. salaries back home! Hadn't thought of that. But then, that's why I'm here.
Anyway, if you're in a position to know, would I just start sending my resume to those small handful of firms? I focused on international law in law school so I don't have any real law-firm oriented specialties like corporate or securities. Does that matter?
