Just put up with it on the assignment aspect. Many partners pull the routine of "I told you to do B" when really they told you to do A, and then even when you do B, then they say do C. Yelling and screaming is one thing though, and it isn't professional. Try not to work with the partner to the extent possible. On the other hand, the partner pulls a lot more weight than you do, and if you want to keep your job in this economy, you don't have a lot of options it seems
