Looking for suggestions on Midwest mid-size firms birch August 07, 2008 12:49 pm
I am a rising 2L student at a US News "top 14" law school. I have strong connections to one state in the Midwest but since that state's legal market is somewhat limited and my grades are in the bottom half of the class I would like to try other markets as well.

Are there any firms in particular you'd recommend I look at? I'm open to most mid-size and large cities in the Midwest but I was thinking of trying Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Milwaukee/Madison and St. Louis. Any suggestions for good firms in these markets that wouldn't be opposed to hiring someone like me would be particularly helpful. I'm trying to avoid firms that focus solely on insurance defense work but I am open to doing work in insurance coverage.

Thanks.
