Responding to any fake bonus news just keeps these guys going. If you ignore them, they'll make one last furious attempt to get a reaction and then give up. So name-calling and the like just serves to keep them going.
The best rule of thumb is that unless a bonus announcement comes from a long-time poster or is confirmed by such a person, you should assume it's fake (eg, the confirmation of the fake Willkie memo before was from someone I had never seen post before).
