Spiegel's firm culture is individualistic, iconoclastic, intellectual, idealistic, and, in political terms, the firm's attorneys clearly lean to the left. What I mean to say, the firm is individualistic in that there is virutally no pressure to conform. The firm's leftist ideals mean that the firm, in many ways, is very democratic, open, and non-heirarchical. The downside to this aspect of the firm's culture is that things are constantly disorganized and there is little structure.
